Closer and Closer

We've found a reception hall, booked the caterer and florist. We're working on the baker. Chris and I know where we want to have the rehearsal dinner, he just wants his parents to see it first. We've started our pre-marital counseling (fun stuff). We've finished registering for everything and ordered our invitations. Still waiting on those addresses though. Its like people think I've forgotten about it so its ok. Just give them to me already and quit being stupid about it. We've looked at tuxedos, but haven't ordered them yet. So I think everything's coming together pretty good. I think I'll quit worrying about everything when I get those damn addresses.

Its Happened

As most everyone knows already, Chris and I got engaged just before Christmas. We've set the date for May 31, and I can't wait. Most of the people I told were just like, "Yeah, I saw that one coming." A friend of mine, Mary, told me that she has never waited so long for two people to get engaged than she waited for Chris and I. Everyone seems so shocked when I tell them the date. They always ask "Of this year?" What's wrong with that? Neither one of us likes long engagements, and I don't think you should need more than 7 or 8 months to plan a nice wedding. I've already ordered my wedding dress, picked out a bridesmaid's dress, booked the church, talked to the pastor, and done some registering. I've been trying to get an invitation list together for the past few weeks, but that's getting to be about like pulling teeth.
